2 what ifs in oneAug 03, 2008 I am a huge fan of the What if series and try to get my hands on any issues I can get. Recently I stumbled apon this issue at a comic book convention and bought. I loved the idea of what if Elektra had lived but the story was short. Now I never read the issue which Elektra died but know the basics. Now the story was confusing a little bit because I didnt know when exactly the story picks up in the alternate universe. It had a bad ending. So far of all the issues I read this is my least favorite.
However there is a saving grace to the issue. There was a second what if story in it. What if Yellow Jacket (Henry Pynn aka Giant Man and Ant Man) had died. In an Avenger comic, Jacket and his wife Wasp got into an argument before a battle. Wasp stayed behind but decided to come later. A car is thrown at Yellow Jacket and Wasp blocks it and saves his life. But the story shows a different outcome what if Janet hesitated and got there a few seconds later and the car hits and kills Yellow Jacket. Wasp becomes depresed and the story shows it. Good story. It took a minor event and a simple different result causes a chain reaction that could affect other moments.
Should you buy this. I dont I know. I hated the Daredevel story but loved the Yellow Jacket one, so its either way.
